Volunteer

Volunteer Application

PALS is a totally 100% debt-free volunteer organization and of course we need volunteers. If you are age 14 and up and can make a commitment of a few hours a week, we want and need you!!! Are you affiliated with a church, school, club, organization that performs community service projects? Think of us. We especially need men and boys to help with dog socialization and more strenuous jobs. Please tell your son or your husband about volunteer opportunities. Many students have used their time here as a Senior Project or for community service hours. There are so many opportunities for volunteers, from office help to more strenuous cleaning jobs. Cats need grooming and love. If you love animals and like working with a bunch of people who are also animal crazy, please come by our facility now! We simply need you to fill out an application, we will then give you a finger print form to take to the City of Lodi Police Dept and when your finger prints clear, we will start the training process.

We also have a Foster Program. Cats must be fostered for 10 days before they can be adopted out of our facility. During this time, the foster parent monitors the cat/kittens/cats for any signs of illness, provides socialization and vet visit. We ask that fosters come to our facility to pick up cat condos, food and supplies. A Foster Application packet is available at the center.

To be a volunteer with the Animal Shelter, you must be a PALS member.  Please pick up an application at the PALS Adoption Center or use the link above

Fill out the application and return it to the PALS Adoption Center.  The Volunteer Coordinator will call for an interview and then you will be given a finger print form.  Please make an appointment with the City of Lodi Police Dept.  There is no charge. Unfortunately, even if you've had your fingerprints done in the past, they will have to be submitted again. Thank you for your cooperation. After your finger prints are cleared, you can begin training!

Donate Supplies & Equipment

PALS will accept good quality dog or cat food, bedding, toys, blankets,  leashes,  towels, office supplies, pet care supplies, and cat litter.  Remember to bring your items to the PALS Adoption Center and we will ask you to fill out a tax deductible donation slip with value amount declared. The tax receipt will be sent to you in the mail.
