PALS Spay & Neuter Program - Jenna’s Treat

When Karen Federico started volunteering at the L.A.S. in March of 2007, she had no idea what was in store for her. That’s when she met Jenna. Jenna was a favorite of all the officers and volunteers alike. Her quiet dignity and soulful amber eyes connected gratefully with everyone. After a week of walking dogs at the shelter, Karen decided to adopt Jenna. Jenna has now learned that walks, dog parks, and treats are perks that every dog is entitled to but not all are fortunate to receive.

Because of this, Karen founded Jenna’s Treat Fund in remembrance of her previous dog Treat, and her current dog Jenna. This fund was created to help limit the overpopulation of dogs and cats by giving financial assistance for spay and neuters, to deserving pets and their owners.
